More Field work for Thimble, and a Paddock move for the girls.

Thimble went out in her trap around the fields again last night, once again driven by her aunty Gabbi. One again her behavior was impeccable.
Last night she worked on trotting in an open space without getting fizzy.
She did brilliantly, I think she broke into canter twice but that was too much like hard work and she soon came down to trot.
She even took to lifting her knees high and showing that there might be some potential for showing at this rate.
She will go out again later as she needs to work every day to keep her rather large belly in check.  Even on a virtually bare paddock she still gets fat incredibly easily so her exercise is fundamental to her health.
Having said that they really are on almost zero grass.
So tonight they will be moving to their next paddock, opposite the stallion ( I just hope he gets bored of shouting at them nice and fast).
I think I will have to split it in half though or I am never going to keep them both at a healthy weight.
Who would have ponies eh, certainly makes a change from the ex-racehorse that I used to own.

As far as Stella goes she is still improving every day, she is getting more and more chilled when big traffic comes through the yard, less galloping around her paddock and more standing to watch it.
Hopefully, she will go out tonight with either Gabbi or me and do some more chilled out and gentle work. She might even get a bit of a whizz if she can hold it together but the main aim at the moment is to chill her out, not wind her up. So she gets enough work to keep her chilled but not too much that she gets overly fit and fizzy.
She did think that the sight of Thimble in harness plus the trap was the most terrifying thing that she had ever seen, and showed us what she thought in the form of a massive highstepping trot around the paddock with complimentary high blowing.
It will be interesting to see what she is like later when she gets some exercise again, hopefully, it will help to keep her nice and chilled, but there will be updates later.
